Columbia Pike Blues Festival
For its 26th year, Columbia Pike will host its largest Blues Festival since 1995. The Columbia Pike Blue Festival is a free outdoor music event where thousands of people come together in South Arlington. From live blues, jazz, and bluegrass music, to family-friendly activities, to craft beer and wine, and local vendors, you’ll find something for everyone. The View Ballston residents, you are officially invited to “Arlington’s best block party.”
This year, vocalist and guitarist Judith Hill will be headlining on Saturday, June 17th (1 pm – 8:30 pm). Featured in Oscar and Grammy award-winning documentary “20 Feet from Stardom” the blues musician considers her career a family affair with her parents as members of her backup band. The music doesn’t stop there, other blue, R&B, and funk performers include Annika Chambers & Paul DesLauriers, Bobby Thompson, Gayle Harrod Band, and Spice Cake Blues.
The festival is also a great place to try a variety of food from local restaurants and food trucks. Find your new favorite! Our beer selection is brought to you by New District Brewing Company, a family and friend-owned business built from the ground up right here in Northern Virginia. The wine list is curated by local restaurant Rincome Thai.
Columbia Pike Blues Festival also has plenty of shopping opportunities and activities. Including an ‘Art Alley,’ ‘KidZone,’ and a huge selection of artisans, commercial vendors, and local nonprofits.
