Bring a Craving for Crispy Chicken to Farmbird

Looking for fast-casual fare that won’t ruin all the hard work you’ve put in at the gym? Try Farmbird. This locally owned regional chain has three locations in D.C. and Arlington, each serving up healthy eats made with cruelty-free, sustainably raised chickens. 

On the menu, you’ll find chicken-centric dishes with tasty sides, salads, sandwiches, and even breakfast (they skip the chicken for that, though). If you’re in the mood for a standard entree, go for one of their signature plates. You choose chicken breast, thigh, or tofu, and it’s served atop a bed of brown basmati rice and topped with all the fixing ingredients. Favorites are the lemon tzatziki with pickled red onions, peppers, arugula, pepitas, and kalamata olives, and the spicy roasted fresno with fresno pepper sauce, and crispy shallots. If sandwiches are what you’re in the mood for, try the traditional or spicy chicken salad depending on if you want a kick or not. Grab a side of avocado and chickpea salad or spicy chili lime cucumbers and you’ll be fueled for the rest of your day!
