“World Car Free Day is every September 22. The day promotes improvement of mass transit, cycling and walking, and the development of communities where jobs are closer to home and where shopping is within walking distance,” as reported by the Washington Post. 

Here in Ballston, residents and commuters are encouraged to walk, run, take the Metro or bike to work! Bike Arlington provides a “Bicycle Comfort Level” map [see here], Walk Arlington has maps for every neighborhood available here, and the Ballston BID even has their own map available online here.

For residents of The View Apartments at Liberty Center, all you need to do is walk right across the street to the nearest Capital BikeShare at Wilson Blvd. and N. Quincy St. (Bike station 31039).
